A POW ship model in bone representing a third-rate three-masted vessel.

A figurehead depicting a warrior. A dinghy is suspended from the deck.

Various polychrome decorations on the quarterdeck and the stanchions.

The model is mounted on a rectangular base made of straw marquetry with a diamond-patterned design, featuring four carved bone pegs.

Displayed under a glass dome with a blackened wooden base.

Condition: generally good condition under its glass dome with blackened wooden base. The tip of the mainmast is slightly tilted.

Dome dimensions: length +/- 39 cm x width 24 cm x height +/- 37 cm.

Made in France or England circa 1800.
