Rare large hourglass made of weathered wood (probably mahogany), consisting of two turned circular bases held together by five baluster-shaped columns.
Inside is a vial composed of two slightly tinted, bubbled glass bulbs connected by a wax seal covered with beige fabric secured with a linen cord.
Inside flows pale beige silica sand.
Dimensions: height 31.5 cm x diameter 13.3 cm.
Made in France circa 1700.
